Thinking of building a house and turning to the architect about the project, the customer often hears in response: - Did you do geology?

In the language of professionals, the word geology means geotechnical surveys.

However, not everyone knows what it is and how it looks. In this video I will try to briefly tell you what the so-called "geology" is and why it is needed in practice.

The video about the foundations of the house consists of two parts.
 In the first part I will talk about what geotechnical surveys are, who conducts them and what the document looks like which the contractor should give to the customer after the survey.

 In the second part of the video, on the example of a specific project, I will talk about how, even with the construction of a small house, you can avoid big troubles.

More precisely, how the standard foundations have changed based on the results of the research.

When constructing a private house, to carry out engineering-geological surveys or not, the builder decides.

When starting to build a cottage, some customers first of all invite a team of “lads” who quickly and, most importantly, at a reasonable price “fill in” the foundation, which, according to their assurances, can withstand a multi-storey building.

However, after 4 - 5 years, cracks may appear on the walls of the new house, windows and doors will skew, and then the owner begins to think, but did he save on that?
