Construction of the frame house

Construction of frame houses

Construction of frame houses

Construction of frame houses is the choice of millions of families not only in North America and Canada, but strangely enough in Ukraine as well. After all, the traditional furnace is a typical frame house. But "heater" in it is clay with straw. Since the time when such a decision was the only one for construction, it took a long time. Due to the large number of research and engineering work, the modern frame house is not inferior to the stone companions. And in many moments and far exceeds them. Such a house is one of the most affordable.

Frame construction

ADVANTAGES :

Wooden housebuilding is economical and fast.

The design of the walls, ceilings, roofs of this building has all the necessary strengths. The modern wooden frame is the result of many years of development and improvement. But like any engineering system, frame construction requires intelligent design to ensure durability, comfort, durability and safety.

Well-designed and built wooden frame house :

  • Easily constructed and repaired;

  • Sturdy;

  • Built from renewable resource;

  • A tree is a natural insulator that is easy to warm and minimize the cost of heating and cooling;

  • Easy to build with basic skills, tools and simple fastening;

  • Excellent resistance to wind and snow loads;

  • It has a small load on the foundation and is easily attached to a strong wind and earthquake;

  • Adapts to all climates, ranging from hot and humid to extremely cold;

  • Complies with fire regulations and sound insulation standards, these requirements can easily be exceeded.

DESIGN OF FRAME HOUSES

The wooden frame can be lined with any decorative materials. From the simplest siding to facing bricks and ceramic panels. Any designer's idea is simple to implement. And this does not worsen the constructive qualities of the house and its safety.

In design, the designer must adhere to the principles of sound design. Robust, comfortable home with the highest level of security that has a beneficial effect on health. When building such a house, we reduce the impact on the environment from the design stage (developing energy-efficient solutions) and at the construction stage (using renewable resources). Architect-designer provides convenient and easy access to all premises of people with different physical features and needs including people with disabilities.

DESIGN FEATURES

Buildings on frame technology are often called Canadian. But this is not true, the homes of Canadian technology are similar to frame houses on American, Finnish and other "technologies". The choice of solution depends on the material of the heater, based on its dimensions and the step of the frame is selected.

To provide the required strength and convenience of frame construction, the distance between the bearing racks is 300,400 and 600mm. All buildings have diagonal communications to withstand wind loads and earthquakes.

The right solutions have been developed with years of experience and risk assessment for each region of construction. The frame is tightly attached to the foundations with threaded pins. Framework construction on a turnkey basis takes about three to four months. From the foundations to the universe into the house.

Height of the room

When building a frame on the building site there are no restrictions on the height of rooms in the house. But in order to optimize the cost of building materials and better energy efficiency, the height of ceilings is taken 2.5-2.7 m.

FIRE SECURITY

For the purpose of fire safety in frame construction, all wooden elements are treated with fire retardants. Additional fire resistance is provided by sheets of drywall. Compliance with fire regulations is also one of the security measures. When correctly designing the house, the ways of fire evacuation are taken into account.

Additional fire safety measures include:

Ensure proper placement, taking into account unprotected openings

(Windows and doors) in buildings close to the boundaries of the site. To reduce the likelihood of a fire spreading from one building to another;

Smoke alarm on each floor and in the sleeping areas;

Providing the minimum gate width and outputs from the bedrooms

Provide the necessary clearances around the heating and kitchen appliances to prevent fires

Residents can minimize these risks:

Supporting smoke alarms in working order;

Exercising caution when cooking and using heating appliances

Having received the building passport in advance with the observance of the fire requirements before applying for a construction permit.

SOUND INSULATION

Sound insulation between the rooms is provided by means of soundproof materials (mineral wool, drywall) which have an adequate resistance to sound transmission. When composing floors and walls used soundproofing pads that complicate the path through which the sound is transmitted. In one-family houses there are additionally soundproofing bedrooms and children's. If necessary, extra steps are taken on the soundproofing. Such as floating floors, special sound absorbing panels. Buildings located near highways and airports have additional sound protection in the exterior walls.

Also, the sound division of structures should occur in homes where two or more families live. Inter-floor ceilings soundproof with a thick layer of drywall, vibration dampers, and soundproofing linings (which usually save on it).

    ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Frame houses in the basic version of the assembly already have a layer of thermal insulation corresponding to the Ukrainian State Property Fund from 2016 and easily reach the energy efficiency class "A" when using energy efficient windows and additional insulation of the wall and the outer shell.

Ventilation, air conditioning and water treatment also affect the annual energy consumption. Heating systems must meet or exceed the minimum

energy efficiency requirements. Careful and precise performance of construction works contributes to the maintenance of the design characteristics of the building taken during the design.

PROTECTION FROM THE RADION

Radon is a transparent radioactive gas that naturally occurs in the environment. The reason for his education is the natural disintegration of uranium, a small amount of which is found in almost all types of soil. The gas enters the house, through the cracks and cracks in the foundation rising from the ground outside. In any house there may be an excessive concentration of radon: in new and old buildings, insulated buildings and houses with drafts, with the presence or absence of a basement.

Sometimes radon enters the house through groundwater. Sometimes it can penetrate through building materials. But by themselves, building materials do not cause radon problems.

The main penetration cells:

  1. Slabs in a monolithic floor.

  2. Walls of the building parts.

  3. Defects in the walls.

  4. Breakthroughs in ventilated technical support.

  5. Slit around the pipes.

  6. Cavities in the walls.

  7. Water from wells and wells.

Approximately one in sixteen buildings in Europe and America has an elevated radon level. A high level of radon can be observed in some areas, and not every home in the area will have this problem. In order to identify the problem you need to conduct a survey.

According to DBN B.2.2-9-99

On the requirements of radiation safety

Paragraph 7.22 states that radiation safety measures should be envisaged in the development of projects and technical construction decisions in accordance with the requirements of sanitary supervision taking into account the requirements of radiation safety norms NRBU, DBNB.1.4-1.01, DBNV.1.4-2.01.

They said that building and finishing materials with the minimum content of natural radionuclides should be used + mandatory use of autonomous ventilation systems with five-fold air exchange + reinforced sealing of ceilings between the floor of the stove floor and basement.

To protect against radon, set the minimum ceiling height:

For residential premises, the minimum ceiling height is 2.1 m

Basements must have a ceiling of at least 2.0 m in any place that is used for the passage of people.

Radon protection is the complete sealing of the basement ceiling or floor on the soil with the help of floating waterproofing throughout the floor area or the creation of a sealed barrier of polyethylene film of high density (from 200 g / m2). Also must be germetizirovannye all the pipes that enter the house with under the ground. If under the house a basement is planned, then in the lowest place, ventilation from the radon through the bay in which the fan is installed with the required multiplicity of air exchange is organized in the lowest place.

An example of the first floor floor sealing can be found here: Photos of the building frame house 121 m2

The owner can easily test the house for the presence of radon. Testing equipment is relatively inexpensive and test kits can be ordered

on the Internet. If the results of the test are shown

annual average concentration exceeding 200 Oa / m3 (abutment activity)

additional protection measures may be required.

BUILDING MATERIALS

Many types of building materials are used in the home. Experience has shown that materials such as sealants, metals and paints that are destroyed under the influence of time can adversely affect the health of people. Therefore, we use only qualitative, having certificates of conformity, materials. Particular attention is paid to compliance with humid and temperature operating regimes.

Houses with SIP panels
