Plan of the existing house. The house was built in 1965. The walls are 510 mm thick and made of brick. The ceiling is made of wooden beams. In the 1980s, an entrance hall with a kitchen and a bathroom with a wooden veranda with 250 mm thick walls were added to the house. During the visual inspection, no cracks were found on the foundation and walls. The ceiling in the existing building is wooden, covered with clay plaster. The ceiling in the rooms is decorated with plaster on wooden rails. The ceiling of the hall, kitchen and bathroom, which was added later, is lower than the ceiling in the rooms. The floor in the house is wooden. The roofing of the existing house is slate.

The reconstruction project envisages dismantling the bathroom with a veranda. In addition, remove the roof and ceiling, disassemble the stoves and all internal partitions. After that, the walls of the hall, bathroom and utility room are designed to be raised to the same level as the walls of the main building. On top of the walls, make a monolithic reinforced concrete belt that will connect the walls of the house. Instead of a wooden floor, make a concrete floor with polystyrene insulation.

House plan after reconstruction. The inner wall and partitions should be made of brick. The wooden floor and rafters will be made from new wooden beams. For thermal insulation, use rolled basalt or glass wool. The total thickness of the ceiling insulation is 350 mm. In order to save money, it was decided not to change most of the windows. It is proposed to cover the outer walls with insulation 150 mm thick. Styrofoam is chosen for insulation as the most economical option. If desired, it is possible to apply hard mineral wool.

The main facade. The house is covered with a hipped roof. The roofing is light, it will be metal tiles or bitumen tiles.

Rear facade.

During the design process, several facade decoration options were developed. The customers decided to choose the final option after the completion of construction works. Depending on the financial situation.

After the end of the sketch project, after negotiations with the builders, the customers determined which working drawings are still needed.
In addition, working drawings of the roof were developed and the necessary amount of materials was calculated.
