What is a building energy certificate

An energy certificate is a document that is designed in accordance with an established form that reflects the energy efficiency class
with relevant metrics.

It is a mandatory document by order of the Ministry
regional development, construction and housing and communal services
Economy of Ukraine dated July 11, 2018 No. 172. This order was registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on July 16, 2018 for No. 825/32277

Energy efficiency certification has replaced the building energy passport since 2019, collecting and analyzing information on design and / or actual energy performance indicators of external enclosures, engineering systems. When developing an energy certificate, it is necessary that the class of the building is in line with the minimum required level set by the state.

When developing an energy certificate, a plan is developed to improve the energy efficiency of the building, which is evaluated taking into account local climatic conditions.

There is also an economic and technical justification for energy efficiency improvements. That is, you will have a plan to improve the performance of your building.

Without the certificate, it is impossible to pass the examination and put the object into operation.
The development of this document should only be performed by certified energy auditors.

The form of the document is electronic, with the obligatory registration of the energy auditor who has made the certificate in the State Energy Efficiency.
